A PRETTY SMART COOKIE

1. Pricing: There is a 1-dozen cookie minimum for custom orders. Standard size cookies start at $45 per dozen. This includes 3 designs and 3-4 colors. Price will vary based on complexity, special ingredients or supplies, etc. Character cookies start at $48 per dozen.

 

2. A minimum of 3 weeks notice (from the date the cookies will leave my possession) is required for all custom orders. For scheduling purposes, please order as early as possible within 4 months of the event. Rush orders may incur an additional fee.

Holiday and special event pre-orders will have a deadline for ordering. All orders must be paid in full by that deadline. Order changes will not be allowed after the deadline. Customizable options for pre-orders will be set on the order form. Additional customization is not possible. If you desire additional customization, you may place a custom order.

3. Payment and Deposits: First come. First paid, First scheduled. I appreciate your inquiries. However, an inquiry is not an order. Please finalize your order and make payment as early as possible to secure the date. Payment is due in full 30 days prior to the pickup/delivery date. For orders placed more than 30 days in advance, a 50% non-refundable deposit will secure the date with the balance due 30 days prior to the pickup/delivery date. If payment is not received within 24 hours of that deadline, I will release the date for other customers. Please pay attention to the due dates on the invoice.

4. Cancellations, Order Changes, and Refunds: Cancellations within 14 days of the pickup/delivery date are not eligible for refund. There is often advance work to be done or supplies to be ordered to fulfill your order. The cost of any items ordered specifically for your order that cannot be re-used (personalized tags, custom cookies cutters, etc.) will be deducted from the refund amount. Changes to the order may be made up to 1 week prior to the pickup/delivery date in those changes do not require additional supplies. If additional supplies are needed and can be secured, a rush fee will apply. Any additional charges due to order changes are due immediately.

A note on weddings and large RSVP events: At the time of the order, please order the minimum number of cookies you will need and I will invoice you for that amount. You may raise the number of cookies by up to 2 dozen until 30 days before the event but you cannot lower it. At that point, payment is due and the count is final.

 

5. Designs: I create designs based on a combination of your ideas and my expertise. Feel free to share a party invitation, high quality photos, or other points of inspiration that will help me to create you design. Given the respect I have for other cookie designers, I will not copy their work. We can use photos of others’ work for inspiration, but I will put my own spin on the design.

 

6. Color Matching: If you are looking to match a specific color in your order, it is best to give me a physical color swatch to get the closest match. You can email the swatch but please be mindful that shades may vary across devices.

7. Pickup and Delivery: Pickup can be arranged in Madison according to my schedule at no charge. I can also use Uber delivery to deliver the order to you. Costs will be determined by Uber. Pickup will be arranged during daylight hours. We will arrange and pickup time and location, which I will confirm several days prior via email. At that time, please let me know if someone other than the person placing the order will be picking up. If you do not arrive within 15 minutes of the pickup time, the pickup will be rescheduled or cookies will be donated to a local family in your name.
